Tasek Merimbun

I cannot remember when was the last time I had been to Tasek Merimbun, the place has been neglected and visitors are very rare nowadays. You will be lucky if you bumped into tourist or campers these days. I used to go here when I was a kid, riding my bike (BMX) for almost 25Km, taking the long route via the kg Ukong road back in the mid 80 (circa 1985).Camped here during school holidays and having picnic during the weekend, the placed was packed with visitors and tourist and finding a good spot was a problem then.I remember my first visit here back in 1978 with my sister and my late dad, riding on his motorcycle from our home in Layong,Tutong.Now its my turn to bring my son here, the next generation that will inherit the future of the place, with hope that the authority will one day and the people of this country bring back the glory of the past.
