Its been a very quiet Hari Raya for me and family this year, and I for once this year even forgot to take any picture during the first day of Raya, my excuse was, I was working that day and had to rush all morning in order to be at work by mid day. A couple of shot above I took last weekend, of my son's pet bunnies. They are so adorable and my son could hardly keep his hands off them.

Shot this with Gotshutter lens on our last outing, this was actually an attic of a dollhouse, you could see the leg sticking out of the blanket in the bed. I've been on leave plus sick leave at the beginning of my leave, so the blog goes on leave as well, but that is my excuse this time. The blogging will start soon, no matter how slow.

To Bee Or Not To Bee

Here are some more image shot by Gotshutter, we saw this bee on the glass panel of the Anduki Control Tower as we just finished shooting the RBAF Air Force Helicopter formation took off from Anduki for the air display at the 3rd Battalion Lumut. One of the images obviously been edited using CS3, this was taken using Canon 40D with Canon EF-S 60mm f/2.8 Macro USM lens. Shot from a distance of 0.2m or less.

The one in the middle, by the way is not Mumbo, it just looks like him when he was little(chick), all penguins look alike (in case of Mumbo species), I still remember a few penguins species like Gentoo, Magellanic and King Penguin. The Little Devil is of unknown species though.

Probably it is normal for chillies to defy gravity, I am not sure why it happened, at first I thought they were looking for light, but as you can see the plant is in a well spaced and lit in the open, Allah knows.

Cinema

I used the word "pawagam" just to remind myself of what it really mean, I'm sure most of you do anyway, so figure it out. The photo was taken yesterday on the rare outing occasion of myself and GotShutter at one of the cinema in Brunei, I'm sure you all know which one. Unfortunately I only got 2 hours before I have to dash home for Friday prayer, so I managed a few pictures, here is one to share.

Spectacular firework display at JP, I barely had time to set up my tripod when it started, in panic I decided to stay on the very spot I first saw the fireworks. Therefore view/angle are quite limited, but I tried to make the very best of it. The thing needed in order to shoot fireworks is the "when and where".I will keep that in mind next time. This is my first fireworks shots by the way, and I'm having lots of fun.

Firework displays by DSTcomm during their roadshow at JP, brings back the memory of the days when JP used to be the place that nobody want to miss every time you go out. That night when I was walking with my family along the dark public path after having dinner at the "gerai", the eerie and strange feeling comes to mind, as my son in tantrums and adamant insisted that he saw the "condor" and wanted a ride in it. What we saw as we walked on the dark and deteriorating path that night really struck me.The "pony express" has run off? the "giant drop" had dropped into the earth core leaving large crater on the spot. The "pirate ship" had set sailed to the distant land. These are just a few "rides" that we grew up with and they are gone. The park has transformed beyond recognition, it reminds me a scene in the Jurassic Park, where everything literally falling to pieces, well at least the dinosaurs are still there. When we finally arrived at the "condor" ride after a long walks, we were told the ride was "binasa" by the operator. We had to backtrack after getting temporary uncertain of location, and ended up at the children playground, our last hope that night for my disappointed son. What a tiring night it turn out to be.

The roses and other flowers grows very well in this weather where we have plenty of rain and sunshine at the same time, I think the weather has gone crazy, its rather unpredictable anymore, soon the locals will have a culture where we talk about the weather at any social gathering.
